Our Mission

Rhinos for Rockstars was started in July 2021 by Miles, then a four-year-old, who LOVES police officers. He heard about a local police officer and family friend who had a rough day on the job. She was very upset and he asked if police officers get sad. His parents explained that yes, police officers get sad just like he does. He wanted to know if they had a stuffed animal to cuddle like he does when he gets upset. From there, Rhinos for Rockstars was formed! BOLO The Rhino was chosen by Miles because they are big and strong!

It is pretty simple really; when a police officer gets upset, Miles gives them a rhino as a reminder that someone is thinking of them and that someone thinks they are a HERO. Everyone needs a reminder and a hug every now and then. Miles wants to make sure that BOLO the rhino sits in police cars and on the desks of those that need it the most.

Miles also would like the officers who have received a BOLO to be on the lookout for a child that might need a hug too! There are going to be situations that officers are involved in where a child is impacted. Miles wants BOLO the Rhino to be a comfort to those children who need a hug.
